As RESIDENT EVIL 6 rapidly approaches to be shipped out in UK retailers, fans are already excited about the game as some are pre-ordering the game online on sites like Amazon.co.uk, Gamestation.co.uk plus many other video game sites to avoid disappointment. The game is set to be the ‘biggest and baddest’ series in the franchise so far with possibly sales going up rapidly providing a quick boost to CAPCOM’s profits despite their loss of 73.1 percent during the double dip recession back in 2010. CAPCOM mentioned they predicted they will have 7 million copies sold worldwide or possibly more than that for the first week after the release date of the official game launch.

Moving on to the footage… At GamesCom 2012 Press Conference Presentation, (video clip is embedded below this article) Director of RESIDENT EVIL 6 Eiichiro Sasaki demonstrated a gameplay from Jake Muller’s Campaign, to the audience of the event on how cool the game looks including the graphics which looks ‘realistic’ with ‘beautiful vivid colours and high contrast’ when you play on a better HD Ready LCD or LED TV.

The footage also shows during a cut-scene sequence of Sherry Birkin telling her childhood horror of her past as she tells the story about the Raccoon City Incident to Jake Muller, including her parents and their work on Umbrella Corporation. She then mentions her close friendship with Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy as they saved her life on that day when she was infected by her own father, who was mutated into the creature known as the ‘G Monster’ or ‘The G’. Claire was the one who vaccinated Sherry. Jake Muller then teased her on the ‘healing ability’ upon gaining super human powers obtained from the G-virus she was infected inside her body. Moments later, Jake Muller and Sherry Birkin were interrupted by ‘snow zombies’ and decided to make a run for it from the gun toting horde of the infected.

We will also learn about the relationship between Jake Muller and his deceased father, Albert Wesker.

As you know in many previous gameplay footages from the three campaign modes, each three main characters will go their own ways and will somehow ‘intertwine’ with each other, forming an ‘alliance’, to stop the horror from wiping out mankind. Players will experience something ‘unique and different’ about the Campaign as Jake Muller’s part will be more of an action heavy combat style while Leon S. Kennedy will be more darker, grittier and scarier – dramatic survival horror style and Chris Redfield will be fun-action style. This hints that there will be plenty of large-scale firefights, awesome boss battles and numerous waves of zombies will be the most common.
The game has new additional features to the series which is a brand new revamped ‘take cover’ system, dynamic enemy interactions and an on-rails vehicle sequence. CAPCOM said RESIDENT EVIL 6 will have a close resemble to the popular Call Of Duty Series.

So, what do you think about the footage? Was it good? How is the action sequence and what do you think of the vehicles that players can take control for the first time?
Try playing RESIDENT EVIL 6 Demo for yourself and see how the game really excites you, the demo will definitely tell you that you wanna go BUY THIS AWESOME GAME!
The demo will be available to the public via Xbox LIVE Marketplace on September 5th 2012. Don’t miss it as it will be a thrilling start!

RESIDENT EVIL 6 will be released on October 2nd 2012 exclusively for the Xbox 360.

RESIDENT EVIL 6 Heroes

As my previous post was on the announcement of the free online web-based tracking service called ResidentEvil.net at the biggest video games LIVE conference event GamesCom 2012, CAPCOM yet again amazed the audience revealing some cool looking trailers and screen images specially for the event for everyone to take a sneak peak of Leon and Jake showing off their moves as they kick zombie ass, trying to save the world once again.

There was more news from CAPCOM:

“Confirming its commitment to support RESIDENT EVIL 6 post launch, CAPCOM chose the press conference to announce ResidentEvil.net, a free web-based service that tracks and graphically represents all of the key in-game stats for players from around the world. At a glance, see how you rate against your friends and be notified in real-time if they have beaten, for instance; your latest Mercenaries score, by linking ResidentEvil.net via your Facebook wall, Twitter or CAPCOM-Unity accounts. Furthermore, players will be able to join fellow gamers around the world and compete in specially organized events.

Press conference attendees at GameCom 2012 were also treated to fresh content from the series newcomer Jake Muller’s campaign. Gun for hire and son of the late infamous Albert Wesker, Jake is on the run from his ceaseless pursuers who require the special blood that runs through his veins to further enhance the deadly C-virus. Holed up in a mountain shack, Jake, alongside Sherry Birkin, must use all their might including firearms if they are to defeat the encroaching deadly creature known as J’avo. But will that be the end of their problems?

During the course of GamesCom 2012, attendees will be able to experience first-hand what promises to be a dramatic survival horror gaming experience of 2012, with three missions from the campaigns of Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Jake Muller.
RESIDENT EVIL 6 will release on October 2nd 2012 for Xbox 360, PS3 and a later date for the PC!”

Take a look of the explosive RESIDENT EVIL 6 images and trailers straight from GamesCom 2012. Thanks for reading, more news to come soon! Enjoy your day…

The Trailers from GamesCom 2012

At GamesCom 2012, CAPCOM has confirmed that RESIDENT EVIL 6 will finally have a ‘state-of-the-art Call Of Duty Elite style’ free online web-based statistics tracking service called ResidentEvil.net. and players can show off their scores via Facebook and Twitter.
The free service tracks different types of data as you progress through the game, such as the proficiency with weaponry skills, various types of enemies killed, number of player deaths and Mercenary mode scores. The service also provides special rewards by redeeming their hard earned points from completing certain tasks and events. One of those rewards are special in-game costumes, others may be special weaponry or special moves such as a finishing move for each character. Just have to wait and find out what the prizes really is. Take a look of some the screenshots below showcasing the service:

Another good thing about the service is that it enables players to track their progress in real-time via the leaderboard and player statistics with those across the globe. Players can either team up with others or compete head-to-head in a battle or participation through an online challenging events in which players can compare which players out of them has the most best scores for that particular task.
An example CAPCOM provided was a challenge that tasks players with the killings of 10,000 zombies.

ResidentEvil.net is LIVE but it is still not granted access just yet. It will be launched when the game is released in retailers October 2nd 2012.

My next update will be on Leon’s and Jake’s Trailer showcased at GamesCom 2012 with gameplay screenshots. Stay tuned for more exciting news!!

Hey guys and welcome back to another special update.
More details have been announced for ‘Agent Hunt Mode’, which is similar to Mercenaries Mode, but this time you play the infected and hunt down agents like Sherry and Jake, there is a clip showcasing that below:

For those who want to experience the action and fighting of playing a zombie, J’avo or other C-virus mutations, then the all-new online mode ‘Agent Hunt’ delivers pure perfection to your gaming experience.
As a ‘Hunter’, players will be able to infiltrate other player’s sessions with the aim of terminating the human characters. As a hunter, players will be able to get access to the very unique movements and attacks of each one of the enemies, including various creature transformations you can enable to witness the horror from within. Check out some cool images below by clicking on them.

After watching the clip above and you are asking…’actually, how does Agent Hunt Mode work??’
Well lets get straight to the point:

  • Complete the main campaigns for either Leon, Chris or Jake on any difficulty level to unlock the Agent Hunt Mode bonus stages for each of those respective campaigns.
  • When creating an RESIDENT EVIL 6 gameplay session, a player has the option to allow/not allow Agent Hunt.
  • When a hunter searches for a game session to join, they will see on screen whether or not other players from around the world want to allow hunters into their game session for teaming up.
  • The hunter then chooses another player’s session to join and jumps straight into the game session.
Please note that only certain stages will be available for Agent Hunt Sessions.

  • On the ‘Agent’ side, only a single player with an A.I partner can team up, or two human players on Co-op. Up to two separate hunters can join an Agent Hunt mission. When a hunter dies, they automatically re-spawn where they died previously or at a checkpoint.
  • If the hunter terminates the agent, the session ends with a ‘hunt successful’ message and displays end of results session on screen. The player can start or join in another session if they wish to.
  • If the agent is terminated, then their game session will end exactly as if they had been playing a standard game session with CPU enemies.
  • If the hunter quits the game session, then the agent’s game continues as normal with A.I enemies.
Main Key Features of RESIDENT EVIL 6:

  • Terror goes global – no longer confined to a specific location there is a new strain called the ‘C virus’ and there is an outbreak spreading all over the Earth. Most of the game action takes place in North America, Eastern Europe and China.
  • Multiple characters and mind-blowing horror plots – play as Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Jake Muller, son of the late Albert Wesker. The main characters will have their respective partners on their mission including Helena Harper, BSAA member Piers Nivans and the U.S Government agent Sherry Birkin.
  • The action also crosses paths – at specific points when the narrative draws two characters together, the ‘crossover’ mechanic allows up to four players to experience the horror together online.
  • Go Solo or Co-op – both single and two player co-op gameplay either online or offline.
  • New exciting challenges – confront the results of the C-virus in all it’s deadliest forms and transformations; zombies return, but now they can run, leap and jump at you, and even can wield dangerous weapons; enemies like J’avo can regenerate itself when injured, plus it evolves something much bigger and scarier; like it’s body parts where wounded can literally transform. So players need to rethink and adapt to it; the C-virus has also given rise to the ‘Chrysalide’, which spawns a host of deadly, horrific creatures.
  • Vehicle-based action – for the first time in history, RESIDENT EVIL 6 contains sections that features cool vehicles such as motorbikes, cars and snowmobiles, players can ride on.
  • Mercenaries mode returns – players can again enjoy a ‘two-man army’ competing against the time limit and defeating as many creatures as possible. Get a bonus unlockable for every high ranking results you get!
  • Redesigned and improved state of the art control system – RESIDENT EVIL 6 now allows players to shoot while moving, slide, evade and roll in any direction to take cover from incoming attacks, you can also counter attack.
  • Localized voice-over – for the first time ever, the game includes fully localized voice-overs in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish as well as subtitles in Brazilian, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese and Russian.

Isn’t that the Avenger’s Tesseract Ada Wong is holding in her hand??

It has been confirmed that RESIDENT EVIL 6 Players will now get the chance to play as a zombie or creature; and their mission is to track down and kill off their enemies, which are the main characters and other supported characters in the game, as players are introduced to a new game mode called ‘Agent Hunt.’
The new game mode enables to place human-controlled creatures or zombies into certain stages according to reports from Andriasang. In these stages there will still be a human-controlled main character, but that player won’t know which of the creatures he/she will be fighting are A.I and which are human-controlled. Players will only know that another human-controlled player has entered the game.
Multiple creatures can team up with others to take on the main characters and other supported characters, you can voice chat to other players enabling to plan and coordinate your attacks.
The game mode is only available if ‘the player has cleared/completed the entire story chapters from the campaign.’

‘Ada Wong Assignments’ has also been confirmed as an unlock-able campaign bonus.
The featured ‘Agent Hunt Mode’ sounds somewhat like the now cancelled game called ‘The Crossing’ from Arkane Studios.
Also, don’t forget to check out how RESIDENT EVIL 6 was made right here:
